Video Sync Terms

Last updated Nov 6, 2026

These terms add to our Terms of service and cover the video sync add-on, sold by KRDL Solutions, which runs Leyden & Beam. You agree to them by ticking the box before you buy video sync. Where the two differ about video sync, these terms apply.

1. What video sync is

Video sync keeps a copy of your videos on our servers, so that your other devices and the people on a project can play them. It is a separate subscription, in the tiers shown on the pricing page, each with a limit on what it stores and what it uploads a month. On a Studio team the buyer pays per seat, and the storage counts on the buyer's account.

Video kept on your own device in the Windows, Mac and Chromebook applications comes with your plan. It is not part of video sync, and nothing here touches it.

2. Paying for it

Video sync is billed in advance, each month or each year, for as long as you keep it. Our Terms of service cover refunds.

3. If you cancel

You can cancel at any time. Video sync runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not bill you for it after that. Then:

  • When the paid period ends, no new videos are accepted, and we notify you that all your files in sync must be removed within one month, because the service was canceled.
  • We will send a final notice that all files in sync must be removed or they will be deleted.
  • After final notice any files in sync will be marked for deletion and are purged within a month.

4. If a payment is missed

If a payment fails, we try it again for fourteen days. Then no new videos are accepted, and we notify you that video sync has not been paid for, and that you must make the account current or lose your files in sync within 30 days. A month after that notice, any files still in sync are marked for deletion and are purged within a month.

5. Keeping your videos

You can keep what is stored by making the account current before it is marked for deletion. If the subscription is still open, that means paying what is overdue. If it has ended, it means taking video sync again and paying for the months you missed while video was stored.

A missed month is each monthly billing date since the payments stopped on which any of your videos was in sync. Each costs the monthly price of the tier you had, per seat, even if you paid by the year. You pay them once, in the same checkout. A month is a month: what you pay carries you to your next billing date, your billing date stays the same, and there is no charge for any overlap. We do not bill for missed months unless you choose to take video sync again.

If you clear everything from sync before you cancel, nothing is owed when the service is canceled, and if you come back you start afresh.

Clearing your files does not end your billing. Video sync is billed until you cancel, and a payment you missed is still owed if you take video sync again.

6. Removing your videos

Until the day they are marked for deletion, you can play your synced videos, download them from a project's Story page, and choose Stop syncing on any of them. A buyer can also remove everything at once from the notice in the application. Stop syncing, or removing everything, takes a video out of sync straight away, and our backups' second copy goes thirty days later. Videos in sealed projects cannot be downloaded in a browser, and we cannot read them.

7. What deletion means

Once your files are marked for deletion, they cannot be restored or recovered by us. They stop playing for everyone, including on share links and published decks. Copies on your own devices are not touched. Your cards, their descriptions and scripts stay, and the record keeps each video's name and hash.

8. Notices

We send these notices to your account's email address and show them in the application, so please keep your address current. Your files are not marked for deletion until the notice has gone out, even if it goes out late.

On a Studio team, each seat is also told about the videos in their own projects. The buyer cannot open those projects, so a seat is responsible for downloading what is theirs.

If your plan itself ends, our Terms of service say what happens to your attachments, and your videos are among them.
